Definition/ Meaning/ Explanation
A marketing strategy which instils fear, uncertainty, and doubt about the competitors’ products or even one’s own like in the case of smartphones to make consumers upgrade to a newer version. A FUD strategy may use the ploys of increasing prices, or limited stocks or for competitors, suggest that their products are defective.
